Been the V.P. for about 5 months now. Clubs growing pretty fast. i don't know if it's a good or bad thing hahaha
adjusted the throttle kickdown cable for my transmission. last time i touched it was two years ago. for the past two years, it was a hair extra sensitive. 40mph cruise, slightly put foot on gas to get up to 45 and it'll jump down a gear. if i wanted it to upshift, i had to slightly lift up my foot, like a manual. now it does its job as is
Tore the bench seat from my 94 and the steelies from it and put on my 91 so I can keep my 4runner seats and decent rims since the kid who bought it doesnt give a ****. I almost shouldnt sell it to this kid kinda seems hes gonna make it a worse hack job than it already is. Oh well money talks
put lucky number 3, timing cover gasket on today. praying it doesnt leak coolant. now just need that little bastard of a bolt that goes under the distributor gear
lol I got ya on it dont worry.. just be patient with me... I know there is probably 100 things wrong with doing this but I dont have 3 bucks to have a new valve stem installed every fawkn week so this is what im doing to..well getrdone...
the tire leaks air, and its really hard to tell by looking at the tire which is only .8 of an inch in sidewall to see its flat before I take off... the tire pops off the bead as im turning the truck around and breaks the valve stem..I just need to pay more attention before I hop in and take it for a short cruise
Nah, the automatic transmission A43D is ran by hydraulics, older design. The "kickdown" cable really serves like a TPS for the transmission, it'll figure when the truck should down or upshift relative to throttle position.
oh yeah and I know this is nothing to do with my truck but hell its an offtopic thread.. yesterday I went to a carrie underwood concert with my girlfriend.. kinda glad I went.. during the show it got all dark and quiet then BOOM lights come on and theres a truck the same color as mine flying through the air with her in the back ! lol. check it out http://mjsbigblog.com/carrie-underwood-flies-in-a-pickup-truck-video.htm
**** yes! no more leaks bitches. went to the junk yard today and got that bolt ive been needing. it pissed me off though, whoever owned that truck jb welded the ENTIRE! valve cover on. took me like 30 minutes to get that bitch off. the 22re that i pulled parts off of about a week ago was striped clean sorry V8TITAN no fuel pump block off plate
heres a picture i took on the way home from the salvage yard. look at that snow!!! it was a bit nippy this morning
DROPT, where you located? We got a bunch of snow in the mountains too already, down to 4000 feet, all of Mt Hood is covered now, pretty much in a week. As for my truck, I heard the telltale sqeaking and whistle of a TO bearing going south.... so far it still shifts OK, we'll see how long that lasts. That's OK, on friday I'm picking up a 2011 Scion xB as a commuter / gear hauler. The Toyota PU is going to be for hauling, for the dump, Home Depot trips, and other stuff. My Chevy was really getting high on the mileage and I needed something that doesn't get 18mpg average. I'll post pics if anyone is interested.
yay!! today my order of toyota minis stickers reflective ones came in!!! i put one on my dads 84 and my 93 isuzu... gotta represent!!! Thanks JEFF!!!!
