So I cant unlock my driver door anymore and it just randomly happened. Not too sure what caused this but if anyone else has had this issue how did you fix it? Or what can be causing it?

Try shooting some WD40 into the lock cylinder itself. Use a small screwdriver or awl to move the outside dust cover before shooting the WD40 inside. Doesn’t take a lot.

What happens when you try it? Mine sometimes just moves the lock a bit, have to jiggle it and pull the handle at the same time, eventually it works. Gonna change the latch, really can’t be anything else.

    Does the key go in?

    Does the cylinder turn?

If no, start by spraying wd40/pb blaster or something and try to cycle it.

if yes to the above ?s, then the linkage probably popped out the handle. The plastic retainers go bad. Or worst case scenario something is very wrong wit the latch

^^^what he said. But I'd use a fine powder lubricant instead of wd40/bpblaster in that cylinder. That's what I used when mines seized up. If the linkage did come off, you will have to go in through the other side and either pop the lock up/open by taking the panel off.

The key does go in but I can’t turn it either way, it moves just a tad bit. I’ve been going through my passenger door to unlock it.
I’ll try the fine powder and see if that helps! Thank you everyone

^Similar to mine, try turning it while pulling the outside handle, works for me most of the time, but it’s most likely a bad latch.

Did your key work on that cylinder before?

Get a new set of lock cylinders with a matching bed lock and update all of it! IF, it's not the hardware/rod that broke. But if you can still pop the lock tab then it's your lock imo
