Alright I'm doing a motor swap an the only engine wiring I'm going to need is the alternator, starter, and headlights. So I want to remove as much as I can from the engine bay wiring as possible.
Do you have a factory wire diagram? I would think you could leave the engine wire harness attached to the engine when you pull it and go from there. I have a diagram from my 93' but I don't have access to it at the moment. If no one chimes in I will look at it this evening when I get home from work.
From what I remember the headlights are attached to the body harness, I just don't recall how the engine harness attaches to the whole system.
I don't if u cud check it out for me it'd be great. I just don't know how it all ties together. I followed some to the fuse box an they all somewhat tie in together so I didn't wanna mess anything up haha
Sorry I didn't get back to this sooner. But the diagram was a little confusing and I haven't looked at my truck with the diagram. But from what I could gather it looks like the engine wires go through on the passenger side. The alt is on the body harness so that should be ok. The starter wire is in the engine bundle. If you would like I could try and scan that page(s) and post them, It just may be a couple of days.
