So I was working on my truck today and i was replacing the passenger window control. While using it I heard the driver side POP and neither side works anymore. I checked the fuses didn't see any bad ones and replaced the door control unit. They still don't work. My electric door locks weren't working before but are now but none of the other switches are working. Help?

Power windows & locks are on two circuit breakers @ the fuse block. Check them.

I went to talk to my mechanic and he got me a diagram for the window controls, but I don't know where the relay is and I don't know what fuse it is for the window controls

Not sure if this is right, but won't hurt to check: Look under the hood on the drivers side inner fender well. Should be a black box with relays and link-fuses inside. Check the link fuses *visual check because the fuse part is on top*. If those are good check the fuse panel inside the truck and pull each fuse to make sure they aren't tied into a different fuse than what you checked.

Relays: with the right tools and determination you can pull the relays out of the black box under the hood. Pull the black cover off of it and if the inside part looks burnt well its bad.

The schematic should let you know which one to check to make the process a little easier or you could strip the truck apart and chase wires lol.

85 short wheel base pickup base model...

Actually glad this truck didn't have a/c, and all the electric junk. Less crap to strip out of it.
