Ok I'm looking for the stock tach signal wire... Can't seem to find a pinout for this truck at all... Its a 92 22re 2wd pickup with oem tach... Truck has gone through a transormation and now has a 1jz gte motor and trans and I got a digital converter box to convert the tach signal to make it work! Just need the tach signal wire...

well, on a stock motor, it's the hot one coming out of the igniter. (white/blk stripe IIRC)

Sorry guys... Behind the tach it goes to plugs that are on the right passenger side... Where the ecu is... I'm trying to find it there... I removed my engine harness and engine and swapped in a 1jz and there were 2 body plugs that remained with the truck... So I assume the wire from the back of the rpm tach goes to one of those plugs that the engine harness went to.... Just don't know Whig plu or wire... Thanks

all data says its a black wire that goes from the back of the cluster through connector C2 to the ignitor.

i would trace from the cluster back, or from the ignitor forward.

that i dont know, you are going to have to trace it yourself... either use a volt/ohm meter or trace it by hand.

if you did the jz install this should be easy for you to figure out.

Hate to dig this up..I recently put back in my sr5 cluster..along with Speedo cable swap.....I’m looking for where the tach wire would be under the hood for a 93... im running a carburetor ..and when I swapped everything I haven’t payed attention to the coil wiring igniter etc. truck was an sr5 and was fully electronic cluster

If I remember right you can splice it to the green wire coming off the coil.
