let me tell u a story. 83 toyado truck that has been sitting about a year .startedto replaced the clutch [ that was what waswrong i quit drivin it]
put a new battery turnover but no fire plug wire was rusted in distor cap.so i replacewires cap and rotor still no fire from coil.tested it manualy . now replaced ignitor and coil test manualy after gettig offthe ground from manual test . replace wire in the still nostart ant ideas??????????????

 

my 83 sat for almost 8 months and she fired right up when i went to start her. are you getting spark to the plug and fuel to the carb? the fuel pump is mechanical if i remember correctly and sometimes the diaphram goes bad. if thats the case you'll notice a small amount of fuel leaking. again, this is going off my memory but i had to replace the pump not too long ago. check the spark and fuel to the carb and let me know what you got.
