Please read my email response with KYB Tech Department. Please start at the bottom. Can anyone help me out with this? I would not recommend you use our product for this lowering. The parts will break, and you'll have no warranty. _______________________________ So your telling me that the shocks that you gave me specs for will not work on my vehicle? They are made for my car and are a lowered application. Or, are you referring to other KYB suspension parts. ----------------------------------- Victor, The rear (4" travel) will bottom out and probably break, and the front (1.3" travel) will definitely break. I checked to see if we have anything with the factory toyota mounitng you could use, and found nothing close. Tim ________________________________ I have about a 3" inch drop all round. That's front and rear. -------------------------------------- Victor, You state it is lowered, but not how much? Tim ________________________________ I have a 91 Toyota pickup 2wd 4cyl. I'm looking for the stiffest shocks on the market for this vehicle. The truck is also lowered and I'm trying to avoid rubbing. ------------------------------------- Victor, You do not stated what your vehicle is, but here are hte specs you requested. Pressure is in the 290 range. I'd like to know PSI, diameter, extended length, compressed length, etc. FYI, I have lowered my vehicle.
you are running blocks in the rear yes? if so the rears WILL WORK. the blocks keep the lower rear shock mount in the same relation to the frame as stock. the fronts however are dramaticly less travel. not sure what would work up front.
Yes, I'm running 3" inch block in the rear. I'll just run Belltech since KYB isn't working out the way I expected.
KYB is just watching their back. If they reccomend a damper for the vehicle and it blows, they don't want a whiney customer calling them out. I wouldn't either. Try talking to a pro drop shop and see what they have to say.
