the question today is what is a stock 22r valve cover made out of? If you got proof to back your answer great post a link thanks. Im thinking aluminum or cast aluminum however potmetal is always a question. I would like to figure this out because im plannin on cutting and moving alot of stuff on my valve cover but i need to know what it is made out of first. Thanks

 

$hit grade aluminum. you can tig weld it though, ive seen people "shave" their valve cover before on here.

im sure they will chime in, i did a quick search and cant find the thread on it. i remember seeing it though and thought it was pretty cool looking.
