Just curious, in the corner of my bed on the drivers side, the corner by the cab, there was like a metal cover held on by 4 bolts, I removed it and theres like a little box behind it and theres was like little fuel filter kinda deal but its only had a hose running from the bottom of it to a like small container mounted beneath the truck (looks like a small gas tank but it isnt) then on the other side there like a hose that runs from the fender tub in the black box.

So this hose runs in a loop to different boxes within the truck? almost sounds like a vent for the tank or to catch unwanted crud like a oil catch can. Does it run to the tank or anywhere else?

not really a loop, one hos runs through the bed from this box to the little tank under the bed , there a hose that comes out into the bed that connect to this fuel filter looking deal, then theres 2 other hoses that runs else where, I took it apart and clean it and found it its some kind of emissions deal

Your truck is a cali truck. Mine had the same thing. Its all hooked up to the gas tank to keep fumes from getting into the atmosphere. I took all mine out when I replaced my tank.
