the cheapo fram filters have been known to leak back dirt into the motor, I have read the tough gaurd ones don't have this problem .. but they are just as expensive as the mobil 1 or k&n The mobil-1 uses a synthetic filter element which is probably better then the oem toyota but it costs twice as much The k&n uses a synthetic element, I think you can even get a chrome finish and it has a bolt on then end to crack it loose which is cool... expensive but cool the oem toyota has a much better track record then the fram , its cheap (5 bucks from the dealer), and it came with the motor in the first place. I hate going to the dealer, but if I am there anyway and I need a oil change (not by them) I pick one up
