lol im not much for buildup threads..this is as good as mine gets. Making that motor fit in the 73 frame was difficult, same with the trans, trans crossmember and the cab floor.. I think im gonna call that project "5lb bag" it means there is 10lbs of sh*t in a 5lb bag..

Really that hard? Ima keep the 18r for as long as I can, I was planning on going nissan v6 anyway but havnt done any measuring, I can get a pretty skinny trans for the nissan v6 though....

Still have the 18r, id love to get the intake manifold off of it.

why would you wanna run a nissan v6 motor in one of these? If i remember correctally those are nightmares motors to work on...they are solid motors, just a serious pain to do ANYTHING to. I PM'd ya about the manifold. If you want a V6 I got a toyota 3.0 sitting next to my 20R that I would like to get out of here. I needs to be torn apart and gone through, but I would definitly get rid of it for the cheepz

ive been dealing with the vg30 for about 4 years now, done everything to them except for sink a lot of money in them and make a lot of power with one. ive owned a few 80s 300zxs. they are cheap, reliable, makes good power. I am on the east coast so I cant get it from you and I have everything here at my house for a vg30 swap. I have 3 transmissions, tons of ecus, wiring harness... blah blah blah.

got bored today at work and lowerd the truck a little...its a little stink bugish right now cause I havnt put the blocks in the back and pulled a leaf yet but its getting there...
yes those are temp tires and rims..the ones that came on the truck were so fugly that it was worth swapping to those.

and incase anyone wants to know how to drop a 22r into a 73 with a 5 speed, you gotta cut the trans crossmember like pic, and get an electric fan cause your water pump is going to be about 2.5 inches away from the rad.

Ditto. The 77' is in the process of being disassembled for all her good bits and since the previous owner had just bought new tires, decided to save a few bucks and swap them over to the 72'. The rims are exactly like yours. I think even Comrade Charlie initially had a set on his 73'.

I guess these rims were the **** way back then.
