So I finally rebuilt the carb and it runs great. But...... it has a vacuum leak from the throttle shaft after it warms up that sounds like a tea kettle! I seriously need to replace my throttle shaft bushings.

What I am trying to find out is if the DG series and the DF series use the same throttle shaft bushings. I found a kit here: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=5949 and it's for DG series carbs. I can't find one for DF series. Anyone know if they are the same? I can drive the truck since it's such a small leak, but it's really obnoxiously loud... I mean ear piercing loud! Figures it's ready to go and something like this happens.

Any help is appreciated. I'm so close to driving this it's frustrating!

 

The DF series doesn't have throttle shaft bushings. I'll have to ream out the hole for a brass bushing ala rebuilding a Holley.

Oh well.
