Hello everyone, I bought a Hilux that someone had already put a Weber on, which seems like a great upgrade. The only problem is that its an automatic transmission so the linkage going to the carb that controls the shifting of the auto trans doesn't work as intended anymore. The angle is too steep, so even when you have the throttle wide open (where the trans should kick down a gear for more climbing, passing power) it doesn't because the linkage is not moving far enough. In fact, the truck isn't shifting at all as it should for the same reason, the linkage isn't moving as intended because the angles have changed. Whoever did this job did not think of this or realize the issue apparently. It's clear that this linkage will need to be modified in order for this to work correctly and I am hoping I am not the first person to have encountered this and someone has some advice to share. Thank you in advance to anyone that can help!
