I'm in the middle of swapping out the original 4 speed L43 in my 1976 Chinook for a W55 out of an early 90's 2wd pickup. The original speedometer gear housing was digital and won't work with my mechanical cable/instrument cluster.

I was able to source a mechanical housing for the conversion and bought a cable out of a 1993 Hilux (which is most likely what the new trans came out of.)

The issue Im running into is that both my original and aftermarket speedo cable aren't long enough to interface with the gear drive in the trans. See pics below. Has anyone run into this before? Any suggestions on a possible solve?

Not sure if it would work or not, but pretty sure I've seen adapters for the Toyota speedometer when swtiching between digital and analog.
