So on last weeks road trip to Relaxin'SoCal I got a little damage to the rear of my truck, had it laid out at a McDonalds & didn't set the e-brake so when started it & it lifted it rolled back & hit something high enough to put a crease just above the tail light! So today I was going to a show bedut due to a lot of rain forecasted I waved it off & started this repair work. After a few hours of welding & metal shaping I got the first coat of short strain kitty hair on. More work to follow ,than the paint matching!
Want to come take care of the dings in my truck too? Lol. I need to do a few small areas too. I can't tell from the pics - What did you weld? Did you cut it out and replace? Or just clean/sand off paint, give it a whack with hammer and fill it over?
The tail light pockets are separate pieces welded on to the rear skin, in hammering the crease out the weld broke at the top section, what I had to reweld
Also had a leaking tail light ,small crack allowing moister in, have two new Suppra tail lights coming from the East Coast! Really want them converted to full LED'S ,not just LED bulbs, but the $$$ is way too high!!
So while masking off for paint work I found another damaged area, a small crack @ the drivers side exhaust body port! Spent a good while of time welding sanding & filling &now in primer, paint to go on tomorrow!!

All repair work done, a little more polishing today & get the exhaust tip/pipes back on & the new tail lights in ! Photo's to follow!
