Hi, new here. I checked the posts and didn't see an answer to my question. I've got a 94 pickup, 2wd, 5 speed. Noticed some oil where the drive shaft plugs into the transmission last time I changed the oil. Not dripping, but just weeping. Is this a problem that needs immediate attention? And could it be related to a failing U joint? I've got 250k miles on this truck. Just HOW long do the U joints last on these beasts? Thanks!

Most likely the tail shaft seal on the transmission is the cause of the leak. This is a common fail item. New seal usually less then $10.00 and can be installed without removing the transmission.
As far as U joints, it all depends on how much torque has been applied over time. If you hear a noticeable"clunk" when shifting into 1st or reverse it's probably a bad joint.
