So I had my 22re long block rebuild about a few months ago. SD Yota and I installed it. Roughly about 3k miles on it now. Also installed a used LCE 4 to 1 header soon after the rebuild. Of course I used new plugs, oil, oil filter, and fuel filter.

I am reading a code 71 which is an EGR System Malfunction and goes on and off every now and then. The main problem is that the motor lags especially after being warm in all gears. I figured the lag was a huge difference after driving another mini. I'm wondering if the EGR is potentially the cause for such a lag. I will be getting a compression check soon to see where it stands.

Any suggestions or similar experience?
