Truck won't start first try!

    What's up guys,
    I have a 1986 toyota pickup, with the 22r 4speed. When i go to start it up cold, the first try is unsuccessful, it acts like its going fire but doesnt turn over. Second try it starts up. What could be the problem??

    Truck:
    1978 Toyota Galavan Motorhome.
    Check your grounds. Starters need really good grounds to carry the amperage. If the problem doesn't go away, check the starter and solenoid.
