so a few months ago i swapped the weber to the 20r and never really drove it untill last weekend. it always seems to run fine just at idle in my garage but then it seemed like after it warmed up it would run like crap like coming to a stop it would want to die. i thought maybe it was a gasket leak on the adapters for the carb and ordered a new gasket kit. i also found part of the middle adapter was broke so only 3 of the 4 allen bolts would be able to tighten. so i used the black rtv in the hole put the bolt in and rtv'd the whole back side and halfway on the sides. not sure if this is the problem but just doesnt make sense why it runs fine till its warmed up. anyone have ideas? im probably going to swap the stock carb back on and see what happens.
was it a redline kit?... if so they had/have a REAL bad batch of them right now I live about 20min away from the north America dis.. so I drove out there to tell him what was going on and to show him ..... his jaw dropped and pulled all kits off the shelf its almost like they forgot to put a heli coil in for the studs right ... way to loose ? I used jb weld untill they ship him some now parts and it worked ...
and black rtv Is not gas friendly ... (ok on the intake to head .. but to much gas at the carb eats it )
