I have been researching tranny options and have come accross some things that I can not get answers for.
    My 1994 pickup has a W55 tranny.
The W58 would be a virtual straight accross drop in with a little bit of work.
What about the R150/R154 trannys? I have a friend that is running an R154 in his IS300 making well over 500whp and it holds without any issues.

    Questions:
Will the R150 swap straight over?
How much hp/tourque can the W55 hold reliably?
Is the R150 the same length as the W50/55 series trannys?

Everyone seems to use the W55 trannys and not the R15X series transmissions so I'm curious. I'm asking because I don't have a W55 and R154 to sit side by side to check myself. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

If i remember right you can use the gm trans if you swap the bellhousing for the toyota one. Think you need an adapter for it though

Are you talking T5 or ZF6? Id like to not have to change the drive shaft if possible.
