So my trany just started leakin pretty bad it looks like it's comin from the back of it or the speedo cable. I have the 22re with 5 speed. I was wondering where I could order the rear seal for the trany

its a pretty common seal. check the local auto zone.

make sure you check your speedo plug in at the trans to see if its not loose.

    yea..... w55.

the speedo attaches to a sensor in the trans mission or if cable driven, a gear type actuator. this sensor or gear drive will have a o-ring that might have gone bad (if it is in fact leaking from there) when you go to replace the rear seal, unplug the sensor/gear drive and inspect the o-ring.

Ok just makin sure it's the w55 I'm lookin into buying a new one when I buy my new motor. But I wanna get this leak fixed before. I'll check the o ring on the speedo cable it might be from there cause I took it off to see if it was hooked up an I put it back in but I'll double check tht tomoro
