Is there an auto trans that will bolt up to my 20R? it is in a 79 SR5 longb bed. Will later model trannys need a new crossmember and modded driveshaft? any help would greatly appreciated. thanks

 

Yes. If you get a later automatic you just need the linkage/kickdown cable (which will need adapting) as well as the flex plate and torque converter. Thats about it. It will still attach to your stock crossmember and driveshaft.
