This is probably a really basic problem but wondering if there's a not too expensive fix or I should just drive this transmission into the ground. Here's the story.

The transmission grinds or at least catches a little going into 3rd and 4th as you're accelerating. But if you give it a little gas as you let off the clutch it slips in easier.

If you try to down shift at all even with the clutch all the way in it grinds. This happens in all gears except for 1st which just doesn't let you go into gear at all if you're rolling along too fast.

Just drive it into the ground, right?

Check all the clutch components. Sounds like its not releasing so ur grinding gears aa if u were tryin to shift without kicking in the clutch
