i just put in some regular ol castrol go 80/90 I usually fill it up until it leaks out..you should be able to open up the fill plug stick your pinky in and feel the oil
Could you guys tell me wer the transmission oil place is in the engine like wer is it located i cant find it and i thing i mite need oil.
If you have a manual transmission, there isn't one. The filler plug is on the side of the transmission and the drain plug is on the bottom. I have never had an automatic Toyota so I can't help you there.
What's an easy way to fill it on the manual trans? Cause I've done it once an it took hours only way we could think of was to use these rubber lines and pour it down tht then have it run to the hole
You buy a hand pump that mounts to the bottle of oil and pump it in the fill hole on the side until it runs out. The pumps are like $7 and reusable.
Or you could also remove the shifter unit and fill from the top. I found it's the best and easiest way to fill after draining. Just remove the carpet from around the shifter and take off the screws holding on the bezel for the boot. Then you can acess the 6 12mm bolts holding on the shifter assembly. I fill until the drain plug starts over flowing, then cap it up and fill about a few more pumps to top off. Way eaiser than trying to pump from the bottom
Pull the shifter out, pour in gear lube till it spills out the filler hole. This will give you a chance to check your shift knuckle as well
In case you took the driveshaft out for some reason... Make sure you put it back in before fillin her up! Yes, folks i wasted a fawkin quart of royal purple once....
