How hard is it to find parts for a toyota stout? dont hate me i know a ton about the old Studebaker trucks, but i would love to at least know about the Stout i really would love to have one ranks up there on dream truck list with some other Toyota trucks
It depends on what parts you are looking for. Some are really easy like the maintenance parts etc., and sadly some are basically unobtanium unless you get lucky. Junkyards have most of the major parts like tranny, body panels, radiators etc. Autozone seems to be pretty good at carrying parts for these old trucks and there are a few others-you just have to search, and search for some things-or re-engineer your own. Here's a few links you can check out. http://car-part.com/cgi-bin/search....071501&userUID=0&userBroker=&userPage=1&iKey= Toyota Corona, Stout Pick-Up - Points and Condensers Auto Parts & Accessories - Car Parts & Accessories - Truck Parts & Accessories - Cheap Auto Body Parts at Discount Car Parts Stuff 1966 TOYOTA STOUT Parts The first link is a national database tied to salvage yards. It seems, at least for my '74 Hilux, that many of the left over Toyota parts (NOS) are hanging out in Tailand. I have found a few things on ebay but the shipping is pricey! Hope you find a Stout and can find what you need for it-best of luck.
i guess it depends on where you are and what model you have, i assume you are in the united states and have a 65-67 "lite" stout and if so the hardest part to obtain is the headlight/wiper motor switches. many mechanical parts were used in other toyotas and one part i have been told that is not available for them here in australia is the front windscreen/windshield, as somewhere at one stage i saw someone had re-manufactured front turn lenses and yet i have no idea now where online i saw that. if it has five stud wheels it is a lite stout such as a RK43 many brake parts interchange with early hilux. if it has six wheel studs such as a RK101 then early landcruiser parts. my self i have a 1962 toyopet stout RK45 and a 1976 RK101
the pdf link is not working but it did contain toyota stout windshields, i know it is australian but... I have a spare stout windshield...but none of you guys want to give me the money for this item made out of unobtainium sorry guys.
PGI.. no longer supply windscreens for stouts. Here OZ I had to buy another stout just to get a windscreen.
80yota, I'm defiantly looking for a windshield. I'm in Vancouver and go to post falls all the time. If you still have it let me know. And how much you want for it. Thanks Mike.
Windscreen unable to find. Gotcha, anyone had any luck with windscreen gasket/seal? Looking at getting a stout but seal is crap (big cracks and chunks missing from sitting in sun) and as I have seasons which imclude rain and snow if I can't find a good replacement it may be a deal breaker. So far no luck on finding anyone who is willing to recreate or fab a gasket.... Anyone have any ideas?
The seal around the windscreen is a standard profile. Any windscreen Replace?repair guy should be able to help you out with that one.
Looking for Stout parts;I'd be interested in buying a donor type Stout just to get the wheels, caps, jack, tools, owners manual and other small stuff. I have a '67 that is rust-free so at least I got that goin' for me! I'm in the south (KY), but willing to travel to get parts truck-Anything? Thanks!
Believe it or not most won't help with windscreen seal. Only place I've found will make one, in southern Cali for $200... Noone else will even try. Soooo, if anyone has a hookup let me know!
