toyota longs for 5.0

    Alright i said i wouldnt do it but i looked through it seems all the build threads and anything else i could find and cannot find my answer..... so im gonna ask the question i know has been asked a million times..i have a 5.0 5speed trans and a 8.8 rear end i want to stuff under my 84 im lookin to do this for speed purposes...i wanna try to hit elevens in this truck is there any website out there or a thread im missing that would help i looked at northwestoffroad but after calling about ten times and getting nothing i have for the mean time given up on that...any help would be awesome thanks

    75 hilux, 80 4x4
    i know its been done, cant think of any build threads of the top of my head tho.


    8.8 will have to be narrowed to fit.

    there is no bolt in kit for a 5.0, so you'll be fabbing mounts.




    i would also reccomend you reinforce the back of the cab, so you dont go flying through the back wall when you hit the gas:lol:

    they might have all the stuff but i got kind of discouraged from them cause they say they are for 4x4 toyota stuff and i called them probably a million times and didnt talk to anyone.. and im not sure if there is anything different in the engine compartment area that would make the 4x4 toyota swap parts not fit in my 2wd

    Difference is in the front axel for a couple of years. To my best understanding there is no difference in the v-8 swap.
