Howdy all! I've found some very helpful info on the site, and thought I'd sign up even though my Toyota isn't really a mini-- it's a 76 Corona wagon. 20R engine, 5 speed manual. I'm the 3rd owner. It came with all service records dating back to its original purchase in December 1976, including the original owner's notes on service ("Clive at Central Jersey Toyota said rough idle was due to loose plug wire on #2 cylinder, idles great now") It was 100% original when I picked it up. Unfortunately, the accelerator pump in the carb blew its gaskets and died. When I researched the original Aisin carb adjustment procedure, thinking I'd rebuild it, I changed my mind. So... I'm neck deep in swapping over to a Weber 32/36. Seen some great tips on these swaps via the site, though I'll likely have questions as I slowly proceed with the swap since my 76 20R differs from both earlier (less emissions) and later (much more common) emissions equipment. Everything I can easily get to, I'm removing and plugging. In the spring, when the garage is warmer, I'll take my time and clean up the install. Right now, I just want to get it running again! Thanks to everyone who's contributed their knowledge to the site, I've already learned a lot from the collective! Jim B./ Grove City, OH
