Project bag the '93.Ok so income tax return is on its way and i have a few questions... My budget is $2k. I plan or slambags re7's in rear...

    1) What diameter bag is usually run in the front?( i plan on using stock uppers and lowers for now...
Q#2) What is a good size air tank to run? I'm going 1/2' gc valves and plan on running 200psi.
Q#3) And what kind and # of compressors should i get? I'm going to run a forward triangulated 4-link bag on bar setup. And i'm trying to budget-build as much as possible without sacrificing quality.4-link will most likely come from can-do because i hear good things about them... Check hits on the 5th then ordering will begin. Any insight will be greatly helpfull. Thanks in advance.

i use AVS for my stuff. i would go with the 7 in the front to cus the bigger the beg the better the ride. but must poeple would run the 6. just make sure to put shock on it. 5 gal. tank is all you will need for you truck. and i would go with duel viair 480 compressor. i like AZ compressor but for the pirce. dual viair would be graet for you.

    Dual 480c's- $399

    100% duty cycle @ 100psi, 3.53 cfm @ 0 psi. 39 amps @ 200 psi, and 1 minute 15 seconds fill from 165 to 200.

    Single Air Zenith OB2- $370

    100% duty cycle, 3.8cfm @ 0 psi. 35 amps max, 1 minute 30 seconds fill time from 165 to 200.

Obviously there are other options, These are the two I chose to give examples with and have used.

The big advantage to running the single OB2 is less vibration harmonics throughout the truck. Not that it is that big a deal, and if you choose to go with Viair, you can start with one compressor and add another in the future like I plan to do with my AZ.

Sounds good guys. Thanks for the help. So 5gal tank 2 Viair 480c's and slam re7's all around. What do you guys run as far as fittings go? Those push it type? I've heard mixed opinions about those? I know they are used on alot of factory air brake setups on busses and such...

There are no single definitie revealing studies showing PTC or compression fittings are better than the other. I think its all about preference and PSI. I know compression fittings can handle higher PSI ratings that PTC but with the PSI we run to fill airbags it shouldnt be a problem. In my opinion the brass PTC are better than the pvc PTC ends. Im going to actually mix fittings when I rebuild mine I'll have PTC on my valves and compression on my tank. In general they are the same price. Also for your 4 link I got some insight from Litneon on his setup and I called CANDO and chated with them for a while, only place I ever called that actually went into depth on how things work and the way they make their product I can say Im definetly buying their 4 link so yah. One thing I wanted to mention is when I get mine all done Im gonna have to notch my cab as well since I like to roll with the front up and rear down with the 4 link they have and bag on bar my driveline will rub so keep that in mind if thats something you plan on doing. Ive had Viars on all my rides and have never had a problem with them and on your budget duals for same price as single AZ is a great way to go. Good luck cant wait to see this thing gettin built

5 gallon tank is all you need but if you play alot with the switches you'll want more air. I ran a 5 gallon an I'd fill it up an then i'd air up an it would need to be filled again switched to my 7gal an I have more play time. I have re6s up front rides good and gets good lift

Ok... So I have some more questions... The lower bars are piece of cake. My question is what angle the the uppers should be horizontally? Should the bars be parallel at ride height? Thats the part i'm not understanding. And if that is the case I assume you would set optimum pinion angle at ride height as well. I just dont know what my ride height is going to be as of yet...(my 1st bag job) Just need some insight. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance... Check supposed to hit tomorrow then the build thread and ordering will begin.LOL

You might want to search for 4 link information. I kinda am guessing but I think you want the upper bars to point down to the axle. Try looking up things like squat and anti squat. Roll center. And just 4 links and how they can get tuned.
    I used a splined driveshaft.

Anyone at CANDO but I think Steve is the owner and master Guru. He helped me a lot with my 4 link and setup questions and such. EVerything else was just plain fabrication sense.

Make sure you tell him about toyotaminis.com. I've talked to him a bunch of times before and after my build.
