Where do I get the part to make these reach each other? I think I need a long version of the thing my index finger is on.
Let me check my parts box I do think there are to versions of this If at all that peace can be maid and extended fairly easily Edit my peace is the same length ..I recall installing a rebuilt carb on my buddies auto trans 22r and the bracket attached to the carb was longer ..
a new weber comes with a longer bracket for the linkage, meaning the C shaped piece with a hole and a slot. looks like you re-used the stock one, your index finger is on it. real easy to make a new one, just need a small flat hand file because the hole to connect to the primary throttle shaft is not a circle, but round ends and flat sides.
Yeah, that's the other option. To make the oblong hole, I'll probably try using a chain saw sharpening dremmel bit to cut between two drilled holes. Yes, this is the stock one off the OEM carb. But this is a used Weber I'm trying to get hooked up. At least the adapter plates line up right.
My webers all have the longer style. Like sho said, one of the easier parts to make. Few drill bits and a small file will have you set. Or if you have welder access, cut the ends off yours and splice a piece between the bend and the end. Good luck.
