Hackers hijack software in a CAR and remotely control the steering, brakes and horn using a laptop | Mail Online No "drive-by-wire" steering, gas pedal, brakes, or internet connected computer to be hacked by bored tweens in Guy Faukes masks. No semi-controlled bombs loaded into my steering wheel and around the cab for my "protection". You get in... You drive... you get out at your destination. Why the hell would you need a computer to control a horn, anyway?
Drive buy wire is the worst thing I can think of that ever happen to cars ...lag delayed unresponsive total enthusiast buz kill .. A motor to control your motor . Never understood it and hate it
Yeah, after I bought my IS300 (semi-drive-by-wire) I swore it would be the last new car I bought. But Toyota keeps popping out perfectly delectable cars that I just can't resist, first the Yaris and now the FR-S... But for me, ABS and Traction control are even worse buzz kiills (both standard on even the cheapest cars now)...
Same here my CTS same thing . I like my cars in the raw we're you drive them they don't drive you . Piss off technology . I like cables and noise
