so.. how would i go attempting a supra engine swap into my 94 xtra cab?
is the supra engine to big for a simple relocate engine mounts, new gearbox and driveshaft?
do i have to cut firewall or move radiator forward?

You'll need a bigger radiator and electric fans and a shop or someone comboline the wiring harnesses into one

Most important thing to know before giving specific advice is what are your abilities and knowledge.

It HAS been done a few times, start by looking at the trucks that have already had it done. change the bellhousing from whatever trans you have to one from the engine you're installing and you can use the same trans and driveshaft. or use the doner cars transmission and if it's the same type as your current one, your existing driveshaft will probably work.

IE the supra W58 bellhousing will bolt onto the trucks W55 trans. use the supra clutch and flywheel. then no change of gearbox or tranny is required. Assuming you have a 2WD and the donor vehicle is newer than 86, the supra W58 will also swap into your truck no mods required if you have the W55 already installed. same if using the auto except the A340 in the supra is different than the A43 if you have that. (can't remember which auto the truck uses) supra R154 I guess would fit with a different driveshaft.

I've been thinking about doing just this. I've got parts (and engines) to do either 2JZ or 7M (both NA)

Mine has the 2jz under the hood. Lots of work just like any swap but if you know what your doing, have the right tools and experience, then its not to bad. There are lots of parts needed but People like sound vission soul, toytruck, myself and many others can help you along the way.
