Been here for awhile, mostly lurking. Guess it's time for me to actually say hi, instead of lurking around.

I picked up a 1994 base model for super cheap awhile back, not much to look at right now, mainly been working all the kinks out with the engine so it'll run smooth, which has led to more than a couple bucks down the drain, but I think I finally got it.

Nothing too fancy with anything on it right, unless the new fad is primer and multicolored body parts with a sprinkle of surface rust here and there. And then I have the typical cranked torsions and a leaf pulled, but soon that'll change. Plans are to lower it 6''/5'' or something simlar with 16x10s in the rear and 16x8s in the front. Kind of gong for a "drift" truck feel I suppose. I'm coming from the mini truck scene as well as the import scene, so I'm trying to mash those together.

Previous vehicles were a civic with a built b16a torqueless wonder, a bodied mighty max, and also had a decently lowered 2nd gen blazer that compete in USACI for a spell.

Might do a build thread soon once I starting actually doing something to look at. Have parts piled up, but I work and go to school full time, so it's hard to get time to work on the truck.

Anyways, I'm sure I've said enough. I'm Jonathan.

Don't have any pictures of the toyota itself, like I said, not much to look at right now. Here's a pic of my craptastic speaker pods made for it though. Planned on redoing the doors, so just threw something together super fast so I could have some tunes in it for the time being.

Here's a couple pics of the mighty max, and the honda. I got both them with work done to them already, and fixed them for the most part after receiving them.

The mm had really bad toe problems that I fixed, and I changed the way it was bagged up front and did some tweaking on the rear. Ended up having tones of engine problems, and after rebuilding the top end, still didn't run right for ****, so I got rid of it as I didn't have the money at the time to keep throwing at it. This isn't my picture, but it is a picture of the truck.

The honda was running pretty rich when I got it, and it had other quirks and crappy things going on with it. Let a friend of mine drive it back to my house one day as I was towing a trailer in another truck, and I guess he wasn't used to the short shifter and ended up misshifting and bent a couple calves. Got that squared away, and got the head ported only for a bearing to spin on it a couple months later. Ended up buying another b16a and a b20 as I was going to build another b16 and a b20 vtec, and ended up getting tired of working on it half way through and sold everything. Was orginally running 12.5:1 compression with cp pistons and eagle rods, with a built type r head. Been awhile, so I honestly don't remember what t dynoed at, right around 200whp, but of course the torque was lacking.

Ignore the "mugen" valve cover and strut bar. They were from the previous owner.

Sounds like you know how to work the bugs out of stuff. I bet a toyota will be much less frustrating for you. I like the speaker pods. Simple but they work and look nice. I'm sure somebody on here will want them if you ever change things up.

Yeah, unfortunately I've had a lot of practice lol, but I've learned my way around an engine pretty damn good because of it.

Appreciate the compliment, I was worried about them as I whipped them up real quick, and hadn't worked with fiberglass in 5 years or so, but it's like riding a bike. I'll probably end up fiberglassing the entire lower half of the panel to make it flow a little better.
    Appreciate the welcome.
