While pulling the seats out of an sr5 4runner this wknd. I noticed it had a sunroof in it.

Got me thinking about getting it and putting it in my truck. Question is how does it open I didn't look that far. Is it a manual flip up type? And if its motorized is it possible to mount all the necessary stuff in my roof, under the headliner?

Not unless you have an ex cab. A pop up would be easier. 1st gen 4runners were that way because of the pop top roof. Pretty large too. Also older jeep Cherokees had a pop up. Either way with those you'd have to cut and weld that roof skin in. A universal pop top is the easiest way. I put one in my old 92. Took less than an hour with an air cutoff wheel. I didn't keep the head liner since there wasn't much of one anyways lol. Not sure how much they cost, I got it from a truck I parted out lol.
