What all is involved in going from a stock to weber 32/36 carb? Does it have all the vacum lines in the same place? If not where would they all plug into and which ones can you get rid of? And does the kit that you can buy from LC Engineering have everything needed to do the install? Sorry if I have have too many questions. I'm debating having my stock carb rebuilt or getting a new one. And can someone post pics of their installed weber 32/36? Thanks.
Got a 38/38 weber kit from LCE and it came with everything needed to install the new crab; adapter plates, gaskets. I had to take the U shaped part that the throttle linkage attaches too and swap that from the stock carb onto the weber carb. The weber carb should also only has 1 vacuum port for the vacuum advance.
Heres my weber 32/36 installed. I had a-lot of probelms with my stock carb, made the switch to the weber over 3 years ago and never had a problem since, I highy recomend the switch!
i did the swap on the 79 and what a difference it made. tranny shifts way better (auto) and all i did was take the linkage parts off the stock carb and bolted on to the weber.
It's very simple. Just need the adapter plate. One vacuum line to the advance. It's great because you can eliminate all that clutter around that area and its easy to tune. Stock carbs are hard to rebuild. You will love the difference.
I'm not sure about LCE but if you go straight to webber it will come with it for like $249. Weber Carburetors for Toyota Cars and Trucks Click on toyota
