ok my truck has those ridiculous stickers going down the side that were only cool in 93. im going to try to take them off and was just wondering what would be the best way of doing it? i've used 3m adhesive removal before and that worked good for pin stripes, but what about a sticker this size?
get a blow dryer or a heat gun and a plastic puddy knife. that should do the trick. but i have bad news for you... your paint has probably faded and the paint below your stickers hasnt. so your probably still going to be able to see them a little
id be willing to bet 20 bux there will be a shadowed impression of the sticker once it is removed, no matter how much you buff or wax it.....
i didn't think of that. but im sure your right. i remember doing a friends ride and it being that way. im startin auto body school in august so i may just wait till then and put the thing in primer.
I took my stickers off my silver 91 tens years after they were on with no shadow they make a rubber wheel that attaches to a drill that just rubs them right off no paint damage
do they put a clearcoat over the stickers? ive been wanting to take mine off as well but dont want to if they have a clearcoat on them
here is the stripe remover I have and used it works awesome I did two trucks with it and it is barely worn http://www.amazon.com/3M-Stripe-Wheel-07498-Hardware/dp/B00063VT0G
