Well the new arms look good but caused a problem, the steering shaft is now resting up against the upper arm washer and rubbing, very difficult to steer, tried to put in a thinner washer in replace of the thick one but still rubs on the steering shaft itself, this really sucks, needs raised obviously, but how?.

Cannot take my truck back to get it fixed at the shop until after the Holidays, going to call for appointment, I do not know how to weld, anything I can do myself in the garage with basic tools? Did not noticre how bad it wa until I drove it home, called this morning to talk about it and he said he will fix it but I have to wait until after the holidays.

Thanks guys, please responded as soon as you can

    Heres a pic

I put the thick washer the arms came with back on, he said you need the thick washer to protect the neoprine bushings.

I gots no truck, for now
time to heim the steering shaft or move the steering box up and re-angle the front suspension...there are lots of fixes for this problem. ive even seen people notch the arm and steering shaft.

i wouldnt notch such a gorgeous arm. i would couple the shafts. or i would raise ur steering boxes on both sides with the idler arm also.

Dont raise the steering box, you will just change the geometry. I feel like the rubbing issue comes from the sleeve that is welded around the steering shaft to shorten it. If it wherent sleeved it would be smaller and probably not hit.
