i am wanting to make up a set of cloth braided spark plug wires for my truck,because they look so damn nice.

i am wondering if i can use solid copper core wires, or if i should find some of the wire that has a modern carbon core.

i have points ignition.


do points systems work better with the solid core copper anyway?

 

the carbon core wires are ment to reduce radio interfearance. If you have a radio in the car you will start getting a crazy high pitched whine from the ignition system through the radio.

they make after market blockers to block ground loops which sound kinda like the same thing, but this will not be blockable.
