so i have sky jacker 7 inch lift on my solid axle 1984 pickup 4X4. I run 33 x 12.50 bfg and the fenders are cut out with bushwacker fender flares. My truck is a little taller than it needs to be and the ride is a little rough. My question is if I changed the 7 inch lift springs for some 4 inch springs what other problems might i encouter. Will my steerring still line up right with the drop pitman arm? I think I will still have plenty of clearance for the tires, and I'm hopping the ride will soften up a bit too?

no clue. best bet is to find out what pitman arm people are using with the 4 inch springs.

With your drop pitman, it should still line up. For springs, I would go through marlincrawler.com their springs are real nice and adjustable. They ride really nice with a 5150 bil. Allpro are good springs too but I felt they rode stiffer.

If you have the ability and means, I would do the ifs steering box and cross over conversion. Super smooth and responsive. Allot stronger too.
