Ok so I recently had my 94's 22re rebuilt. After having it back for a week it still hasnt gone away but I have a problem with it stuttering slightly under load in all gears. I have it about half throttle through the power band Id say 2300rpm- 3500rpm and it feels really sluggish. Here is everything that was replaced so maybe you guys could shoot me a few ideas on what else to check. Crank returned, NEW rods, pistons, rings, bearings, honed sleeves, decked block, valves replaced cut grind lashed, new timing chaing, gear, oil pump, water pump, gaskets ALL OF THEM, dist cap, rotor, wires, plugs. Timing has been checked numerous times and everything is dead on. I dont know about anything else but fuel maybe?? Filter is clean, pump is working injector pulse I have not checked. Cat converter is trashed. I dont know what else to check HELP PLEASE thanks in advance

Nah just like power loss that's why I was thinking timing or fuel but timing is legit so is fuel delivery I would assume its burning good since new plugs wires and such

A few other things you could look into:

    Any trouble codes?

    EGR still hooked up?

Any vacuum leaks or lines hooked up incorrectly?

Have your injectors ever been cleaned? (The real way, not with fuel additives.)

I bought the truck from a dealership so they ended up paying for half the rebuild so it only cost me $700. The dealership has a certified master tech he did all the work, apparently he didnt look the truck over before they slapped a sale tag in the window. I have not sold my 91 but need to cause this 94 isnt gonna bag and body itself. I know my buddy just rebuilt his motor from his 4x4 for $600 doing everything himself except the machining work, I guess if you know how to hone cylinder sleeves, regrind the crank shave your deck on the block prob save a few hundo. Rebuild kits are pretty cheap pistons, rings, bearings, water/oil pump and timing chaing runs bout $250 then gasket kit is like $60-$100 depending on what brand and such
