Any shock will do. Stock length will work front and rear. If you want a firmer valving, you can go with Toxics.
What did you use for the rear? Are these shocks shorter than our stock shocks? I'm looking at dropping my truck within the next week or so and I could use all the help and info I can get. Also, when you went to purchase the shocks, which motor did you specify or is it the same part number for all the V8s?
mprtftr, just letting you know, the site has a topic search. It works well for answering any questions you might have. Then if you find it you can just add to it. If you don't find anything, then feel free to ask away. Just letting ya know, cause I know topics like shocks have been touched on alot.
Using the search is how I came across this thread. I've looked at the majority of the threads that came up, but I can't seem to find the info I'm asking about. When I pulled up the shocks on Auto Zone's website, there were like 8 different motors, so that's why I asked about that. I'm also trying to figure out what to use for the rear instead of trying to use the air shocks, unless those are the best ones to use.
My apologies. I guess I need to read better. I'm have Toxic drop shocks (made by ProComp) front and back on my truck. Been on since Feb. of last year with no problems.
