    Guys

I'm considering doing this with my Hilux as part of the body restoration.

Hoping you can provide any info, pictures, links that might be of use to me. In particular I'm interested to know about how the doors open (hidden switch? electric solenoid?) and what you do if you have a flat battery etc.

    Cheers!

Anyone done this themselves? Feedback as to good/bad products, hard to install or not, etc?

I've installed central locking in the past, and it's not only hard to install but can be temperamental!

I did on my 91 tho. I'd get the avs kit works great an is compact. Comes with remotes an a hidden switch type thing actually it's just two wires you run out the truck an hide somewhere then if your battery dies or lock your keys in you conect them to a battery an they open

I use Spal solenoids, here's when I first did it
    [IMG]
Welded nuts to the solenoid bracket so easier to install, mounted it @ the lower front corner, cable is a straight downward pull.

Now needed to add some pulleys into the mix. I added a 2nd one to make the cable clear & run smoother. Will have photo when I have pandel off in coming weeks.
Still pulls from the bottom, but to get to the handle routes across the door from the latch.
