Reworked dash & new upholstery

    Reworked the dash,repainted & clear coated,also got my seats recovered[​IMG]:cool:

    Also made a patch for the corners @ the headliner( one side was torn) will redo the whole thing later!:cool:

    what kinda seats are those? and how hard was it to redo the dash?

    The seats are the stock SR5's,recovered keeping the same stitch design.
    The dash started by removing all the cracked & lose material[​IMG]
    I left as much material as possible @ the vent openings so to keep the shape & size of the opening!

    Then I filled the coin dish with a high density foam epoxied in,then started laying fiberglass[​IMG]

    Followed by body filler & lots of sanding[​IMG]. Once to the shape & smoothness that you like,primer & paint.:cool:

    All the fiberglass stuff is from Tap Plastic,I used the Marine resin as it holds up better to sunlight & heat. The body filler I only use Evercoat, long strand for deep fills & short strand for every thing else & finish off with Evercoat Metal Glaze,as a fine coat.
    Primer I use PPG Epoxy Primer,as seals very good.
    Just take your time,don't lay paint until all is as smooth as you can get!:cool:

    To start on the gauges I got a donner cluster & cut the back section down to only what I needed[​IMG]
    A Zip cutter in a air tool works great for this!

    Some the the circuitry had to be removed from the stock circuit board to keep the engine on test lights for smog reasons[​IMG]
