    Hi all,

My reverse lights aren't working :(. I've checked all fuses and one bulb (i cant get the other tail light off). Would one bad back-up bulb cause both reverse lights to not work? My next guess is the back-up sensor on the transmission.

Test the socket and see if your getting any current thru it.

If one bulb is blown the other bulb will still work (their wired in parallel not series), like Jetas said, take the bulb out and see if there is power to the bulb socket.

If theres no power and the fuse is ok, then check for power at the reverse switch on the gearbox, you can also connect both wires coming from the body and then check to see if the reverse lights are working, if they are then your switch will be faulty. You can also check the switch by testing the resistance in the switch, out of reverse will have an open circuit, and in reverse will have 0 ohms, anything more than 1 ohm and somethings not right in the switch.

All fixed. Thanks for the suggestions guys. It turned out it was the backup light switch on the transmission. :)
