My clutch has been acting up so I checked the fluid reservoir and it is filthy (green and full of black particulates). I went to bleed it off and the PO has completly stripped the bleeder nut on the slave cylinder. I dicked with a bit but can't get it to budge.

I figure ill just replace the cylinders and was looking online at parts. The slave ranges anywhere from 12 to 40 bucks. Is there a brand that everyone likes? Am I gonna regret spending 12 bucks on a slave cylinder?

I go with a major brand name.
I have replaced mine once ,think I got the part through a Napa store.

I got the slave and master cylinders replaced and I’m trying to set them to FSM height and play. I can adjust the slave and the play on the master but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to adjust the clutch pedal height.

Per the FSM im supposed to loose the locknut and adjust the stop but I can’t figure out where the locknut is. Does anyone have any pictures? Everything I’m seeing online is from newer trucks.

OK here is what I'm looking at. On the left I have the rod that adjust clutch mastery cylinder. Right now it is almost back all the way out. If I try to move it in it pulls the pedal to the floor which is already too close (3" to the firewall). Now where is the locknut that allows me to raise the pedal height? Am I missing something?!

The bolt for pedal height is the one that stops the pedal from moving forward towards the driver when released. Its in the pic.

Adjust the pedal height then the MC rod

OK I get it but the MC rod is backed all the way out and the pedal is only 3"off the firewall. FSM says 6" but I can't adjust the pedal any higher. I guess that is what has me confused.

See if the push rod on the old MC is different than the new one. If the old one is longer then swap them out and try adjusting

If i remember right thats what i had to do when i swapped mine. I just didnt go thru the pedal adjustment procedure. I only adjusted the rod and its been fine

Old pushrod is the same length and was set the same before I replaced it. I'm assuming its the original MC just based on how gunked up it looked but maybe it was a replacement as well? Maybe somebody could measure their rod length for me?
