racing harness

    1981 2wd longbed..starsky and hutch colored
    any idea on how to install this? its a 5-point Jaz harness that will be for the drivers seat only..'81 hilux sr5..

    can i attach the shoulder strap bolt by drilling and bolting to the backside of the cabin?

    You need it to be stronger than that. Usually tube is welded in to weld mounts to. The height at which the harness is mounted is important as well for not only comfort but also safety.

    the welding was what i was trying to avoid..any way around it? and if not..got any blueprints?

    oh, and ive hear about the angles..can cause severe injury if the angle is not correct..30 degrees is the most common but ive also heard 20 degrees as well

    The 5 point I had in my miata was bolted and welded to stock points for lap belts both shoulder belts were wrapped around a bar I had to weld across cab nut belt was bolted welded directly under lip of seat if you want to avoid welding then there is no point in having a race harness unless its for looks only
