so i havent been on the forum for a while...but i did end up gettn a 1977 truck its beautiful...the aftermarket stereo was hooked staright to the batterie and shorting so i just removed it and an aftermarket ac unit...now i want to remove the stock fan and heater unit in the center of the cab... but i realised that it uses fluid from the motor. do i need to compleat the line for the fluid to cerculate or can i just cap it off?... in the future i would like to cut the OE assembley so that just the fan on top was left... i just dont really like the huge thing in the center and think it would look a lot cleaner with just the line of the bottom of the dash straight across and a center console that holds cups and things(i have a cheep one that slides around but its just for change and my phone and cigs)...but then i think the heater still kinda works...(the AC compresser was sitting behind the bench seat) i mostly dont care about either but if i wanted a different heater set up i could tryto find something smaller...

The coolant that runs through the heater hoses would have to hooked to go through the two lines you just cant cap them off.
