    has anyone swapped over from a manual to power steering setup? know what needs to be done? what parts are needed? is it a bolt-on swap? im thinking about doing this swap given ive heard rumors that its fairly simple, i just never looked into it in depth.

    I did just add power steering.

    Off the top of my head you will need;

    -2 or 3 different brackets for the pump
    -p/s pump
    -p/s reservoir
    -p/s gear box
    -shorter length steering shaft
    -low pressure line
    -high pressure line with cooler
    -idler pulley
    -crank pulley
    -approximately 4 feet of vaccum hose.
    -another belt
    -a lot of bolts

    I did it on my truck it is simple like a level 4 to install, but hey if you can get a vacuum asist pump from a later model they work way better, and are easy to tap in to your existing lines.
