Guys

I understand that p/s can be retrofitted from some hiluxes to others. However, as the steering is on the rear of the RN1x I can only assume that this isn't as straightforward a job on the earliest models.

I'm looking at doing a "restomod" (as much as I hate to use buzzwords) with my RN16, basically a standard-ish restoration with the addition of mod cons... modern stereo, aircon, power steering, etc, along with some type of an engine upgrade.

Any leads would be appreciated - if anyone has done this before, or has ideas on what cars to start looking at to scavenge parts from.
