hey guys i was driving home on a back country road that a lot of big rigs take pleasure in messing up. and all of a sudden bang i bottom out really bad. and i
stop at the next stop sign and turn my wheel both ways and a single pop occurs when i turn it to the right. so my question is am i right to believe that the right tie rod is shot loose or otherwise needed to be replaced?. i have an appt to get a alignment shop i trust look at it tomorrow just want to see. thanks

    does it drive straight?

jack up the right side and see if anything is "bad"

see if any rocks got lodged in and it couldve possibly been the bumpstop that made the pop.

    how loud was the pop?

You can see the tie rod in the front. Does it look bent, loose, or hangin?

inspect it yourself....... have someone do a lock-to-lock turn with you looking underneath it and look to see whats making the noise.

the either tie rod end or idler arm on the right side is loose not really bent or broken when i crank it to the right the t.r.end looks like it wants to slide off the tie rod. if i had to use my imagination i would say that it looks like a bold has snapped and its trying to come apart.
