i just de-smogged the 89's 22r. all i have hooked up to the stock carb vacuum wise is the timing advance and booster. electrical is the fuel cut solenoid and the choke.

my question is the electrical connector that comes from under the intake. it plugs into the bottom. seems to be into the water passage. i've looked in the chiltons manual and can't find what it is or does. it's the last electrical plug that i want to remove, just not sure what is is to see if i should.

anyone know what it is/does?

just for info the stock carb runs awesome de-smogged!
